Jaycie Ward and Taylor Swan began playing music together in their hometown of Augusta, Georgia at the tail end of 2017. A shared passion for acoustic music and honest songwriting led them to a partnership that blends diverse elements of pop, rock, and folk musics.
Jaycie has been singing all her life, starting with local events during her childhood. During her youth, she was surrounded by live music, which led to her passion for playing and writing music. She spent a year performing in three different shows at Dolly Parton’s “Dollywood” in Pigeon Forge back in 2015, and has opened for acts such as Vince Gill, Luke Bryan, Jason Isbell, Martina McBride, Florida Georgia Line, and more in the past decade. In her free time, Jaycie likes to spend time with her family, dogs, and two cats. She enjoys writing music, traveling, and connecting with people from different areas while on the road.
Taylor, originally from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, has been playing mandolin in bands throughout the Southeast since graduating high school in 2013. He’s played in the bluegrass bands Delta Cane and Crying Wolf, as well as South Carolina alt-country band the Kenny George Band. Over the last several years, he has shared billing with a variety of seminal Americana and bluegrass bands, including American Aquarium, Yonder Mountain String Band, Larry Keel, Greensky Bluegrass, Billy Strings, and the Wood Brothers.
